Local fashion expert recaps most stunning Met Gala looks

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - A blend of elegance, cultural homage and bold statements took the blue carpet at the Met Gala Monday night. The theme " Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” celebrates Black Dandyism and it’s influence on the fashion industry.

Fashion designer and image consultant Danietté Thomas joined Morning Break to dissect the details many stars used to embrace Black Dandyism.

Thomas discussed how the use of dramatic collars, neck accessories, capes and black and white made some stars ace the dandyism look.

She says her two favorite looks were Diana Ross and Janelle Monáe.
