SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - A sweet fundraiser is returning to Savannah, offering the community a chance to enjoy desserts while supporting local students.

Loop It Up Savannah will host its second annual Cake Party fundraiser from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, May 3 at Collins Quarter at Forsyth Park.

Organizers say the event will feature more than 30 cakes, along with appetizers, a cash bar and prize giveaways from local businesses.

The fundraiser helps support Loop It Up’s summer programming, which serves more than 11,000 students each year through creative education programs across the Savannah area.

“After the success of last year’s event, we can’t wait to bring Cake Party back,” said founder and Executive Director Molly Lieberman. “The funds raised help create a fun, safe and engaging summer for the kids we serve.”

Tickets are $35 for adults and $20 for children 12 and under, with adult ticket prices increasing after Monday. Home bakers can also register to participate for $35, which includes admission.

All proceeds from the event will benefit Loop It Up Savannah’s programs, including literacy, mindfulness and STEAM initiatives in schools across the region.

Organizers encourage the community to attend, bring a cake and support local youth.
