Tasting Statesboro the United Way to support Bulloch County non-profits

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - You can sample dishes from more than 40 local vendors and support non-profit organizations throughout Bulloch County at the 16th Annual Tasting Statesboro the United Way on Thursday, Oct. 15.

The largest fundraiser of the year for the United Way of Southeast Georgia will be held at Georgia Southern University’s Anthony P. Tippins Family Training Facility. The event gives people an opportunity to see Southern’s football practice facility.

Several of the 44 vendors participating are restaurants that are not yet open, so guests also can get a sneak preview of several restaurants.

In its first year, Tasting Statesboro raised $2,000 for the United Way. The goal this year, with more than 500 people expected to attend, is $60,000. All proceeds will go back into the local community through non-profits supported by the United Way.
