SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - An individual used social media Friday morning to make a threat toward Screven County High School, Superintendent Dr. Jim Thompson said in a statement on social media.

Law enforcement was notified and investigated the situation along with school administrators, Thompson said.

The school system said law enforcement took the individual who made the threat into custody.

All Screven County schools are safe and operating normally, Thompson said.

“I appreciate the quick response from our local law enforcement, which led to a safe, quick resolution,” Thompson said.
