COVID 19 has impacted most schools in some way, but perhaps none more than Statesboro High School. Their beloved longtime basketball coach, Lee Hill, died from coronavirus complications, and their football coach got sick from the virus soon after.
Saturday the Savannah High Blue Jackets football team opened their season at Islands' new stadium with a win, but thanks to a 9-0 decision by the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System Board of Education, the hope is that next season, they’ll be defending their own turf.
