Family members call killing "senseless"

SAVANNAH (WTOC) - Police are still searching for the person responsible for killing 32-year-old Curtis Hall Thursday night on New Castle Street. At this time, family members have no information about the shooting.
"The only thing I know today is my baby is not here and I miss him so much," said Hall's mother Janice Hall.
While looking over pictures of the father of five girls, relatives think back on all of the good times they've shared and the joy it brought them to see Hall's unforgettable smile.
"He liked to grin. He liked to smile. When you'd see him coming, here comes the smile with him," said Louise Tolbert, Curtis' grandmother.
But sadly, the Hall family will not get to see that smile again, as Curtis was gunned down late Thursday night. Police say Hall was shot multiple times in an alley. This isn't the first time the Hall family has had to endure such pain.
"I too lost a son to the streets. Right now, that case has never been solved, but my child is gone. I can identify with my niece because of my losing a child," said Curtis' aunt Albertha Green.
The family says the pain of losing Curtis, the youngest of two children, will never go away, but will eventually get better.
"I hurt so bad until it doesn't hurt. I'm numb. I've cried all I can cry, but it hurts so bad. It just hurts so bad," said Hall's mother.
Anyone with information on this crime is asked to call police.
