Army Corps Commander to speak about harbor deepening

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) – Col. Jeffrey M. Hall, Commander of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District, will be the featured speaker at this month's dinner meeting of the Savannah Council, Navy League of the United States.

The meeting will take place Tuesday at the Hunter Club on Hunter Army Airfield.  A social hour starting the event at 6 p.m., dinner starts at 7 p.m. and the presentation takes place at 7:30 p.m.

Hall discuss the mission of the district with a focus on its key civil works project - the Savannah Harbor Expansion Project. He will discuss the engineering, environmental, and economic issues related to the expansion. There will be a question-and-answer session after his talk.
