Pride on display at Beaufort Veterans Day parade

BEAUFORT, SC (WTOC) - Spectators lined the streets of downtown Beaufort to show support for U.S. veterans as part of the Beaufort Veterans Day parade.

The Whale Branch Early College High School Band kicked off the annual parade.

"I'm a veteran. I like it because I get to celebrate all of the veterans that have gone before us. [There are] a lot of the old timers out here wearing their unit jackets and hats with pride. It inspired other guys to do what we do. Just want to pay tribute and say thanks," said Frank Lott of Beaufort.

Active duty service members, veteran groups and Junior ROTC groups participated in this year's parade - along with a number of high school bands.
