Hardeeville Convenience Store Robbed

Low Country lawmen are looking for four armed robbery suspects. Police say the group robbed Garabaldi's Mexicana grocery store on Highway 17 in Hardeeville around 5pm yesterday evening. The four men drove up to the store and three men walked in. The other man stayed in the car.

The men first asked the clerk for some prepaid phone cards. When she turned around, police say one of suspects pulled a gun and demanded she hand over the cards, the cash in the register as well as what was in a cash box underneath the counter.

They then forced the clerk at gunpoint to the back room where the surveillance tape is kept. The suspects pulled that out then tied the woman to a chair and fled the scene. Fortunately the clerk was not hurt.
