SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Folks enjoying the nice weather in Forsyth Park on Sunday, but not only that, they were practicing yoga to fight childhood obesity.

It was a yoga marathon for the Childhood Obesity Prevention and Education program, also known as C.O.P.E.

The group also set up booths with healthy information and tips for parents to take home.

C.O.P.E. board member, Drew Edmonds says, "our kids are so important to us. We need to get these kids healthy and happy. Childhood obesity is a real epidemic and this is our chance to make a difference."

All of the money raised from the yoga marathon will help C.O.P.E. start exercise sessions in the Savannah Chatham County Public School System.
