Police Identify Fort Stewart Soldier Killed in Savannah

Savannah Chatham Metropolitan Police are searching for the person who shot and killed a Fort Stewart soldier.

It happened at the corner of Bull Street and Gordon Street around four o'clock Saturday morning. Police say 27 year old Army Captain Scott Corwin was shot at least once during a fight. Corwin was rushed to Memorial Health University's trauma center; however, he died of his injuries.

Corwin was a member of the 92nd Engineer Battalion at Fort Stewart. Investigators have taken his body to the G.B.I. Crime Lab in Savannah for an autopsy.
