SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - The sounds of music are helping some toddlers in school. The tiny tots and their parents are taking part in Musikgarten at The Landings Club. The class uses music, rhythm and harmony to give children the building blocks of speaking, listening and learning.

"When they get exposed to this before the age of six, the experts say they are able to focus better, listen better, learn sharing and participation, and learn social structure better when they end up going into a pre-k or kindergarten class," said Brenda Morie, Musikgarten teacher.

"We sing songs, play instruments, learn beats and just have a good time. He loves it. He loves coming to be with his friends. Socialization is very important too," said Starr and Archer Ritchie, Musikgarten.
