SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - RadioactiveGiant, a multi-media development, production and distribution studio, has announced the commencement of principal photography for its first feature film production, Killing Winston Jones. The film will shoot in Savannah from Nov. 26 to Dec. 21.
Killing Winston Jones will star Academy Award-winner Richard Dreyfuss, Danny Masterson, Danny Glover and Jon Heder. Joel David Moore, known for his roles in Avatar and TV series Bones will direct. Albert Sandoval and Daemon Hillin of RadioactiveGiant will produce the film and Tom Somerset and Peter Winther will executive produce.
Killing Winston Jones, which was written by Justin T. Winters, is a dark, quirky comedy about the lives of two small-town, dysfunctional families who grapple with the issues of pride, love, legacy and death. Ethan Jones, played by Masterson, is a sixth-grade English teacher on a mission to get the newly constructed junior high gymnasium named after his elderly father Winston, played by Dreyfuss, the retired gym teacher, despite the fact that being dead is one of the requirements. Ethan finds his life and his family spiraling out of control when Winston gets locked in a bitter contest over the naming rights with his old rival, Washington, played by Glover.
"We're very fortunate to have such an exceptional cast, crew and rich story line for our first feature film production," states Killing Winston Jones producer and RadioactiveGiant CEO Albert Sandoval in a press release. "In addition to theatrical release, we look forward to distributing this great content across multiple platforms worldwide."
