SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Authorities have charged a 19-year-old Savannah woman with reckless conduct after she fired a pistol in the air during a fight at Forsyth Park Monday afternoon.
Cierra Denise Mims was arrested by Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police after officers arriving to break up the fight between two women in a large crowd heard shots fired.
Witnesses directed officers to the woman and the car where they said she hid the gun. Authorities found a weapon in the car after the owner arrived and consented to the search of the vehicle.
Police say a woman with two-toned hair started the fight by pulling out Mims' hair. The other woman was charged with disorderly conduct.
There were no injuries reported during the fight or the shooting.
