SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Savannah-Hilton Head International Airport is getting several new renovations. The airport will receive a $7 million facelift, including new signs on the roads and in all the buildings. All signs will now have international symbols. Construction was also recently finished for a new taxi way tunnel leading to two new buildings with Gulfstream. Patrick Graham, executive director for the Savannah Airport Commission, explains the need for the renovations.

"Believe it or not, this facility will be 20 years old next year. We have tried our best to keep it looking like brand new and keep it updated. I think by doing that we have kept it looking fresh and people don't think it is that old," said Graham.

Airport officials are also working on a self check in technology to allow guests to get through the airport lines faster.
