SCDOT seeks input for new US 17 bridge plan

JASPER CO., SC (WTOC) - The South Carolina Department of Transportation seeks public input for a proposed amendment to the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program that involves replacing the US 17 bridge over Back River in Jasper County.

The project will be administered by the Georgia Department of Transportation. The deadline for submitting comments is the close of business April 12.

SCDOT's construction cost is 10 percent or $2.5 Million that will be programmed for construction in FY 2013, according to the SCDOT.
