SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - The man charged with hitting and killing Ben Tucker is still behind bars. Robert Martin's next court appearance is scheduled for June 20. He faces vehicular homicide, reckless driving and racing charges.

Metro police say Martin was going 90 miles per hour on the old race track on Hutchinson Island when he hit Ben Tucker, who was crossing the road on a golf cart.

The city of Savannah is working on a way to install some type of permanent barriers that would prevent the public from using the race track. Temporary barricades were put up last Thursday.
