Officials investigate suspicious fire in Pooler

POOLER, GA (WTOC) - Emergency crews were called out to Miller Pine Road in Pooler early Wednesday morning.

Pooler police and Pooler Fire all responded to a car fire on Miller Pine Rd. which is off of Pine Barren Rd., shortly after 3 a.m.

When fire crews arrived the car was fully involved. Officials have not released many details, but say they are calling the fire suspicious. They confirmed that no one was injured but say that some people were at the home and were outside talking and one of the cars at the home was destroyed by flames.

Miller Pine Rd. had to be closed for some time, but has since reopened. It did not affect traffic on Pine Barren Rd.

The fire remains under investigation.
