Tractor trailer catches fire on I-95 SB near Yemassee

YEMASSEE, SC (WTOC) - A wreck on I-95 has down southbound lanes at mile marker 38 near the Yemassee exit for several hours Thursday.

A tractor-trailer carrying laminate tiles caught fire and blocked sounthbound traffic.

"From what we understand, from what it looked like, the fire initiated from behind the cabin of the tractor trailer and that's where we found the most heavy fire damage when we arrived on scene," said Yemassee Fire Assitant Fire Chief Eric Smith.

Luckily, no one was hurt in the fire.
