FORT STEWART (WTOC) - Fort Stewart's first ever Extreme Color Run was held Saturday. Fort Stewart's Family, Morale, Welfare, and Recreation put on the event, inviting many to run and participate in the event.

Courtney Cameron, one of the planners for the race, said, "It took a lot of teamwork. A lot of work. We've been planning since around December/January. You know, we just wanted to put on a good event for our patrons, for the soldiers and their families."

The Color Run is a 5k untimed and noncompetitive race. Bystanders stand alongside the raceway, pelting the passing runners with colored powders.
