Missing Statesboro man found dead

According to the Bulloch County Sheriff's Office, a Statesboro man who was missing has been found dead on Friday.
Officials said Randy Higginbotham was last seen at his home on Lagoon Road in Statesboro around 1:30 p.m. Thursday.
STATESBORO, GA (WTOC) - A search by the patrol shift was curtailed by nightfall and the density of the swamp growth of the Ogeechee River.
Friday morning, the search resumed using approximately 20 BCSO deputies and investigators, rangers from the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, and a helicopter piloted by troopers of the Georgia State Patrol.
After three hours of searching by foot, ATV, boat, and helicopter, Deputy Will Craig located Higginbotham in an area of thick swamp near the river.
Unfortunately, Higginbotham was deceased.
At this point there is no evidence of foul play, however the deceased was turned over to the Bulloch County Coroner's Office and further information on the cause and manner of death is pending.
Deputies extend their condolences to Higginbotham's family.
