Second arrest made in Stephenson Avenue shooting, one suspect still at large

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - The Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Dept.'s Violent Crimes unit made a second arrest on Monday for a shooting at a hotel on Savannah's South side.
This latest arrest leaves only one suspect at large.
Matthew Armstrong, 29, was arrested on Monday by Statesboro Police. Torrence Veal, 25, of Milledgeville, is still sought by SCMPD. Investigators have linked both Armstrong and Veal to the September 20 shooting of Paul Andrew Grause, 29, in a hotel parking lot on Stephenson Avenue.
The shooting left Grause in critical condition.
Armstrong and Veal are both charged with aggravated assault, and Veal will also be charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Veal is a black male with a low haircut. He is 5'6 tall and weighs approximately 135 pounds. He is believed to have ties to both Pooler and Ellabell.
Witnesses reported a blue Ford Explorer speeding from the scene after the shooting. The vehicle was then abandoned by three males at a restaurant at Hodgson memorial and Eisenhower Drive. Metro located the SUV, along with Austin Tyler Todd, 24, who fit one of the suspect's descriptions.
Todd was found hiding behind a nearby building and received treatment for a bit from a police K9. A second SCMPD K9 officer found items believed to be connected to the case nearby. Todd is charged with aggravated assault and obstruction.
Anyone with information on this case is asked to call Crimestoppers at 912.234.2020.
