Car fire at Richmond Hill Shell gas station

RICHMOND HILL, GA (WTOC) - A car fire Monday afternoon at a Shell gas station in Richmond Hill has closed the business at this time.

The fire happened around 1 p.m. on Highway 144 at the I-95 interchange. There was only 1 car involved and no injuries were reported.

Authorities said the gas pumps were almost immdiately shut off when the fire broke out.

Richmond Hill Fire and police are handling the situation. No cause was given on what started the fire, however, they don't view it as suspicious.
