BRYAN CO., GA (WTOC) - One ninth grade class at Bryan County High School traveled 600 miles to Washington with one click of a mouse.
Mrs. Shelkoff's American Government class Skyped with Georgia Sen. Johnny Isakson from his office in Washington, D.C.
Students asked him questions about his positions on issues, why he entered politics and more. To students, it was a chance to hear directly from one of America's leaders.
“It was different from what you would normally do, and getting to talk to a senator and getting to know his point of view was good too,” said student Willow Levya.
Shelkoff said this is her second year of her class Skyping with Isakson. The senator's office said he's done this with more than 30 Georgia schools since he started using Skype in 2011.
