SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - The Craft Brew Race was held in Savannah on Sunday.
The race included a 5K run on Hutchinson Island, followed by the Craft Beer Festival featuring 30 local and regional breweries.
There were beer samples, costume contests, live music and lots of food.
"Oh it's amazing, you know a lot of people have never had the beer before, so it's exciting to get that to them," said Carl Wiggins from the Southbound Brewing Company. "It's a different crowd than we're normally able to get to when you involve a little bit of athletics into it, but you know people seem to be having a really great time."
A portion of the proceeds from Sunday's race will go towards the Georgia Craft Brewers Guild which helps to promote brewing licenses in Georgia.
