PORT ROYAL, SC (WTOC) - The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office and Port Royal Police Department continue to investigate the murder of 29-year-old Antonio Brewer, and the shootings of a female and a child victim, occurring in Port Royal early Friday morning.

Investigators at the crime scene at Port Royal Apartments on Grober Hill Road interviewed witnesses and collected forensic evidence.

They arrived to find the victims' vehicle backed into a fence.

The female and child gunshot victims were transported to the Beaufort Memorial Hospital for treatment. Their injuries are unknown at this time. According to authorities, it is an active investigation to include any potential motive in the shootings.

The woman's grandfather said he was naturally upset when he got the news early Friday morning.

"Well 6:15 this morning, I got a call and woke up to that my granddaughter had been shot. I got dressed and came on over to the hospital. She seemed to be doing okay with the baby... she's still in the hospital," T.L. Bunton said.

A search warrant to search the victims' apartment is pending.

Authorities are still searching for the shooter, who fled in his vehicle.
