Residents in Bacon Park neighborhood reporting mailbox tampering

CHATHAM CO., GA (WTOC) - Some residents in the Bacon Park neighborhood have reported stolen mail and witnessing an individual entering their mailboxes, and at times, leaving the mail at the door.
The following streets have been affected:
- Edison Avenue
- Emory Drive
- Fairway Avenue
- Silverstone Circle
A Bacon Park Neighborhood Watch Alert advises that in almost all cases, it does not help to notify your mail delivery carrier. They say to report any incident to the criminal investigation division.
A complaint has been filed with the United States Postal Service.
