SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - If you have some old or unneeded prescription drugs, Chatham County is taking them back on Saturday, Sept. 26.

The Chatham County Sheriff's Office is once again teaming up with the Drug Enforcement Administration to help get unwanted and expired prescription drugs out of your house. Officials are urging everyone to look in their medicine cabinets and bring their unused and expired pills, no questions asked, to drop off locations around Chatham County.

Deputies will be collecting at the following 2 locations in Savannah:

  • CVS on the corner of Abercorn and DeRenne; 5401 Abercorn St
  • CVS on Ogeechee Rd. 5690 Ogeechee Rd

Collection times are from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

As always, there is a drop box in the Sheriff's Office entry way, 1050 Carl Griffin Dr, Savannah, GA 31405, that is available 24/7.
