Reidsville new City Hall plans move forward despite objection
REIDSVILLE, GA (WTOC) - Reidsville City Hall will move forward on a purchase for the city, despite plenty of objection.
The council voted Tuesday night to purchase a building in town for a new City Hall for $425,000.
Many at the meeting objected because it's being bought from the city attorney, while many others questioned the giant price tag.
Reidsville Mayor Eddie Rewis says buying the building saves in the long run.
"We looked at it that buying a building was the cheapest way for us to go," said Mayor Rewis.
Mayor Rewis says they could begin moving once the paperwork is signed next month.
