Identity revealed of body found during wellness check Friday

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Violent Crimes detectives have initiated a death investigation after a female body was found inside of a residence near Mad Turkey Crossing and Romerly Road.

Metro officers discovered the body of Denise Chisner, 52, around 1:15 p.m. on Friday during a welfare check at the residence. The Georgia Bureau of Investigations Crime Lab will conduct an autopsy to determine cause of death.
