SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - One man is hurt after a partial roof collapse took place at the Royal White Concrete Company on Alfred Street.

Fire officials and a manager of the property say one of the workers has a hurt leg, but nothing serious. He is expected to recover.

Officials don't know why part of the roof collapsed, but this is apparently the first time something like this has happened at the business.

"When I came out of my warehouse, I heard the noise. When I walked around the corner, I noticed the front of the building was down. When I walked over, I saw one of the guys laying on the ground and then when I looked through the building, I noticed that the back of the roof had collapsed," said Wilbert Dickens, co-manager of property.

This warehouse is used to receive and ship out concrete bags, but this is obviously going to affect business for a while.

The manager says they aren't sure when the company will be back in business, but that the next step will be looking into exactly how it happened.
