Robbery victim, bystander chase down suspect resulting in arrest

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - A robbery occurred Wednesday night on West 38th Street in Savannah, but this time the suspect was caught by a pizza delivery man and a bystander.

Metro Police say 39-year-old Richard McGriff aimed a black bag shaped like a handgun at a pizza delivery man, stole his money and then ran off.

The victim, along with another citizen, chased after McGriff, caught him and held him down until police arrived. He was arrested and taken to the Chatham County Jail.
