SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - More than 30 food, boutique, and beer trucks lined Savannah's Daffin Park for the Food Truck Festival Sunday.

The businesses donated some of their proceeds to the Dwaine and Cynthia Children's Hospital of Savannah.

A variety of restaurants brought their trucks out to one of the first food truck events since the new city ordinance passed. The goals of the event was not only to make profit for the vendors, but it was also to raise funds for the charity.

"Today it's all about the hospital," said Ryan Giannoni, of the Savannah Food Truck Association. "Yes, we want to have a good day for these trucks. We want to show the city that we can have some gourmet food out here in a fun environment with free admission. But really the goal is just to raise as much money as possible for the children's hospital."

The children's hospital served over 70,000 kids in 2015. They will use all of the proceeds towards equipment and for renovating their new building.
