Officials say at approximately 6:23 p.m., Metro officers responded to the Spanish Villas Apartment complex on Abercorn Street near Truman Parkway for reports of a shooting.

Reportedly, an adult male victim was exiting his vehicle when an armed suspect attempted to rob him. An exchange of gunfire ensued between the two.

We spoke with some neighbors who say things have gotten bad in the area.

When we asked if shootings happened there often, Teresa Dutcher told us "Yes, this is a terrible place, and they hide everything. Whatever happens here, they hide it."
