Glynn County PD investigates fatal vehicle fire on Hwy 17

GLYNN CO., GA (WTOC) - The Glynn County Police Department is investigating after an early-morning vehicle fire led to the discovery of a deceased man inside the vehicle.
Officials say shortly after 2 a.m. Monday morning, officers responded to a 911 call of a vehicle on fire in the 5400 block of Highway 17 North. When they arrived at the scene, they found a 1994 Cadillac Deville with a South Carolina tag, engulfed in flames on the side of the road.
Glynn County Fire Department crews responded and extinguished the fire, and then determined that there was one person inside. The deceased has been identified as 39-year-old Matthew Lee Johnson, of Anderson, South Carolina.
