Former Rebel running back dead after crash on Kildee Lane

EFFINGHAM CO., GA (WTOC) - A former standout Rebel runningback died in a motorcycle crash on Saturday afternoon.
Troopers with the Georgia State Patrol say 18-year-old Demonte Lee was transported to a hospital after a crash on Kildee Lane in the Countryside Village mobile home park. Lee later succumbed to his injuries.
Officials say the other car involved is at fault. He or she was not injured.
The Georgia State Patrol reconstruction team is investigating so no more details are available at this time.
