Antonio Duncan was indicted for murder Wednesday. Police say he suffocated his girlfriend, Ashley Biggins, in March.

Savannah-Chatham police arrested Duncan, 29, a few days after she died. An autopsy determined that the woman died by suffocation and her death was ruled a homicide.

SCMPD started investigating Biggins' death on March 3 at about 10am after Duncan reported her unresponsive in his home on Atlantic Avenue in Savannah. Biggins was rushed to Memorial Health by paramedics and was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police learned that the couple was involved in a domestic dispute that had escalated into a physical altercation. The autopsy revealed that the victim's cause of death resulted from the couple's domestic dispute.
