Saint Patrick's Day Street Closures

The City of Savannah Traffic Engineering Department and SCMPD would like to remind everyone about streets that will be closed during the St. Patrick's Day holiday period.
Bay Street - Thursday, March 17th
No parking will be allowed on Bay Street on March 17th. Bay Street will be closed to all traffic at 9 a.m. and police and Traffic Engineering will closely monitor the crowds to determine if Bay Street should be re-opened after the parade or remained closed. Any decision will be made with public safety in mind.
Bay Street - Wednesday thru Saturday, EVENING RESTRICTIONS
Bay Street will be closed from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. each evening. Access will be allowed for Bay Street residents and those persons staying at Bay Street motels. Entrance to Bay Street may be made at M.L. King Blvd. or at the intersection of Price Street. Vehicles wishing to enter the vehicle restriciton zone may be asked to show reservation confirmation or proof of residence.
Rossiter Circle - Friday, March 11th and Thursday, March 17th through March 20th
Rossiter Circle will be closed Friday, March 11th at 6:00 a.m. for the Tara Feis festivities. It will re-open Sunday morning, March 13th. It will close again Thursday morning, March 17th at 6 a.m. through Sunday morning, March 20th.
Jefferson Street - Thursday Morning, March 17th through Sunday Morning, March 20th
Jefferson Street in City Market will be closed beginning Thursday March 7th at 9:00 a.m. and remain closed through the St. Patrick's Day Festival. It is expected to re-open at approximately 4:00 a.m. early Sunday morning, March 20th.
River Street - Tuesday Morning, March 15th through Sunday Morning, March 20th
River Street will have restricted access beginning Tuesday morning the 15th and will be closed to normal vehicular traffic. It will remain closed until Sunday, March 20th. No parking will be allowed on the ramps or in the River Street public parking lots from the 15th – 20th. Commercial vehicles will be allowed to make deliveries between 6:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. each day.
