SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Seems like everyone's ready for St. Patrick's Day in Savannah. The annual greening of the fountain took place this morning at Forsyth Park. People from all around the area gathered not only to see the water turn green, but to have fun as well.

Although the event was originally scheduled for Friday but pushed back because of severe weather, this delay didn't stop people from coming. One person, Margaret Scafidi, expressed just how delighted she was.

"Oh I love St. Patrick's Day," said Scafidi, a teacher from Blessed Sacrament School. "I've become a very much a part of it every year with my family."

David Hall talked with parade officials and will have more details tonight on THE News starting at 6pm.
