JESUP, Ga. (WTOC) - The City of Jesup has appointed a new chief of police.
Perry Morgan will now serve as chief of the Jesup Police Department. Morgan is the first African-American police chief in the history of the Wayne County. The town celebrated the chief’s accomplishment with a community event.
Morgan replaces former chief, Mike Lane. Lane was terminated in February after three former female employees accused him of sexual harassment.
