Savannah sees flight delays due to winter weather in Atlanta

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - The delays and cancellations of flights at the Atlanta airport are holding up hundreds of people at the Savannah-Hilton Head International Airport.

Although there were several travelers still in the airport waiting to hear about those remaining delayed flights, many had already left the airport after cancellations.

You can see Chief Meteorologist Dave Turley’s forecast below:

All morning and afternoon, Delta flights to and from both Atlanta and Charlotte have been cancelled due to the weather.

A few flights like the ones headed to Boston were also delayed for a couple of hours.

“I’m here for work, just trying to get home. Others have been hearing that they are delayed or cancelled. So, just praying for the best,” said traveler John Kelly.
