Bulloch County Board of Commissioners announces interim county manager

BULLOCH COUNTY, Ga. (WTOC) - The Bulloch County Board of Commissioners named their interim county manager as they begin the search for a permanent manager.

The board of commissioners confirmed that Public Safety Director Randy Tillman will serve as the interim county manager for now.

Bulloch County officials say Tillman has been the Director of Public Safety for Bulloch County since January 2024. He looks over the leaders of the Bulloch County Fire Department, Correctional Institution, Adult Probation, Animal Services, E911, Emergency Medical Service, and Emergency Management Agency.

He also served as a Warden of the Bulloch County Correctional Facility before being appointed Public Safety Director.

This announcement comes after county manager Tom Couch left the position back in November of last year.

Assistant County Manager Cindy Steinmann previously served in the interim position from December through April 9, Bulloch County officials say.
