Evans Memorial expanding pediatric services

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Evans Memorial Hospital will elevate training and readiness for caregivers who treat the community’s smallest patients by entering the Alliance for Better Care.

The collaboration with Mercer Center for Innovation and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta will provide local caregivers with state-of-the-art equipment and processes to serve children and families.

The hospital will introduce its new pediatric-readiness program to the community with a Teddy Bear Clinic from 10 am-noon on Saturday, Aug. 9. Children attending will receive a teddy bear when they check in and there also will be Touch-a-Truck, balloon animals and kid-focused resources in addition to the opportunity to meet the Evans Memorial pediatric staff.
