BEAUFORT, Sc. (WTOC) - Beaufort Memorial is expanding its primary care services in the Lowcountry with a new membership-based concierge care option.

Beaufort Memorial Concierge Care is designed for patients seeking more direct access to their healthcare provider and a personalized approach to treatment.

“As our region continues to grow and change, Beaufort Memorial is committed to adapting to meet the healthcare needs of the Lowcountry,” Beaufort Memorial President and CEO Russell Baxley said.

Board-certified family medicine physician Dr. James Frost has joined the program. Frost founded Signature Health and Wellness in Hardeeville more than 20 years ago. His practice transitioned into the Beaufort Memorial network in July.

The concierge program charges an annual membership fee for expanded provider access, flexible scheduling, longer visits and care coordination. Medical services, including wellness visits, lab work, imaging and specialty care, are billed separately through insurance.

“I became a physician to truly know my patients as people, not numbers,” Frost said. “Concierge care allows me to build relationships and focus on what matters most to each individual.”

Frost provides preventive care and treatment for acute and chronic conditions, including diabetes and hypertension. He previously served in the U.S. Air Force and retired as a major before opening his Hardeeville practice.

Beaufort Memorial plans to expand the program this fall by adding another physician and opening a concierge care location on Hilton Head Island.
