Search warrant executed in Tattnall County amid child sexual abuse material investigation

GLENNVILLE, Ga. (WTOC) - Investigators executed a search warrant Thursday at a home on Georgia Highway 196 as part of a Homeland Security investigation into suspected child sexual abuse material distributed online, said the Tattnall County Sheriff’s Office.

The Tattnall County Sheriff’s Office and the Georgia State Patrol SWAT Team assisted HSI with the search outside Glennville, according to Tattnall County Sheriff Kyle Sapp.

Sapp said all people of interest connected to the warrant have been detained. He said there is no danger to the public and no need for concern in the surrounding area.

Homeland Security Investigations is expected to release additional information later Thursday afternoon, according to Sapp.
