Savannah Christian volleyball punches Final Four ticket

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Savannah Christian had the opportunity to send themselves to their first final four since 2016 with a win over Holy Innocents, a school who eliminated the Raiders in a reverse sweep last season.

The first set was a battle, back and forth, the Raiders even trailing late, but Myla Shippy and the Raiders stepped up at the end of the set to take it 29-27, seemingly taking the wind out of their opponents sails.

Set two was a bit smoother for Savannah Christian, 25-19 and that put them in a similar spot to last season, up 2-0 against Holy Innocents. There would be no comeback today, Ella Quinney gets the final kill and sends the Raiders back to the Final Four.

Savannah Christian will now advance to take on Lovett in Atlanta on Wednesday.
