Savannah women’s health night to focus on menopause education
South University physician assistant students will lead the Oct. 29 session on symptoms, aging and preparing for healthcare visits.
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - A women’s health night in Savannah will give attendees a chance to learn more about menopause, recognize symptoms and prepare for conversations with their healthcare providers.
St. Joseph’s/Candler’s African-American Health Information & Resource Center will host “Let’s Talk Menopause” at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, at 1910 Abercorn St.
Women of all ages are welcome, with those 40 and older strongly encouraged to attend.
South University physician assistant students will lead the presentation, covering menopause, perimenopause, symptoms beyond hot flashes and aging.
Organizers say the session is designed to help women better understand their bodies and make the most of appointments with their healthcare providers. Attendees are encouraged to follow up with their established providers about questions specific to their health needs.
