BEAUFORT, SC (WTOC) - A Beaufort woman was arrested early Sunday morning after stabbing her boyfriend at their Goethe Hill Road home, according to the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office.

Carol Rosamund Davis, 60, was arrested just after 4 a.m. Sunday on one count of attempted murder in connection with the stabbing of her boyfriend 50-year-old Randolph Fleming.

Deputies were called on a report of a stabbing victim to the parking lot of the UPS distribution center at 95 Goethe Hill Rd. They found Fleming suffering from a stab wound to the torso. He told deputies he had been attacked by Davis at their home on Goethe Hill Road.

Fleming said he had been asleep when Davis stormed into the room and attacked him with a knife, according to the sheriff's office. Davis then left the home. Fleming ran to the parking lot next door and contacted authorities.

Fleming was taken to Beaufort Memorial Hospital where he was treated and released for non-life-threatening injuries.

Fleming told deputies that Davis may be traveling with her son Myron Carter, 42, in a white four-door Pontiac. A car matching that description was spotted on Goethe Hill Road heading toward Highway 170. The car was pulled over at Goethe Hill Road and Colonial Drive.

Davis was arrested on charges of attempted murder and simple possession of marijuana.

Carter, who was driving, was arrested on charges of driving without a South Carolina driver's license.
