BEAUFORT, SC (WTOC) -
The
Beaufort County Sheriff's Office is investigating an armed robbery in Burton.
At
about 12:15 a.m. deputies responded to Bon Aire Estates. Deputies
found a 68-year-old man bleeding profusely from his head. EMS responded and took
him to Beaufort Memorial Hospital for medical treatment.
The
victim's roommate came into his bedroom and asked to borrow his vehicle. He
told his roommate he could not use his vehicle and the roommate became angry,
struck him in the head with an iron object and grabbed money from off the
nightstand and ran from the residence, according to the BCSO. The victim told
deputies that the roommate had only been living with him for three weeks.
The
victim called 911 after he felt like he was going to pass out.
No
