Victim of fatal hit-and-run on Jimmy Deloach Pkwy ID'ed

POOLER, GA (WTOC) - Investigators confirm a bicyclist has died after they were struck by a car that fled the scene.
The man killed in the hit-and-run on Saturday night on Jimmy Deloach near Benton Boulevard is Predrag Lakic, age 58.
He is originally from Kirkland, Washington. Trooper Colin Wheeler with GSP said they do have a suspect vehicle being processed right now that the GBI mobile crime is working on.
Pooler Fire Chief Wade Simmons said the incident happened around 7:20 p.m.
Investigators do have a lead in the case, witnesses said the car involved in the hit-and-run was an SUV possibly of burgundy or a darker color.
The victim was temporarily living in the Savannah area possibly for a contractor job with Gulf Stream, according to Corporal Rusty Rankin with Georgia State Patrol.
Georgia State Patrol has taken over the investigation and is working diligently with local agencies including Pooler Police Department and Port Wentworth Police Department to find the suspect.
SKIRT is now investigating.
Jimmy Deloach Parkway was shut down for hours on Saturday night but has since reopened.
